Is it groundhog day? Not from the monotony of quarantine, but the idiosyncrasies of King County Department of Public Health Coronavirus reporting. Today they announced 161 infections – the highest since last Saturday, which was a very similar 164. Another similarity: 47% of infections were from earlier in the week/month/year – just like 50% last week. Why, on Saturday, does King County go back and update a bunch of old numbers (higher I might add).
For example, March 25th previously had 187 infections. Today, they increased March 25th infections from 187 to 191. Why did the number from over three weeks ago jump up by four.
Frankly, I’m really disappointed by the lack of transparency by King County Public Health. My questions have gone unanswered. Why do infection numbers keep changing for month-old data? Where is the negative test result data?
Back to the model: The model is sticking firm with 95 infections tomorrow.
