Why is Lee Smith’s picture on my blog today? Because yesterday’s COVID-19 infection number for King County was 46! That’s a low number – by my count, the lowest since March 10th! That’s 2 months ago! It’s hard to find jersey numbers in the 100s.
If you’ve been reading this blog, then you know I’ve been predicting this for a while. Very few people heading to a COVID-19 testing center on Mothers’ Day Weekend. Today we’ll see a similarly low number.
However, I expect that number to creep up, and by this weekend, the numbers could be a little bit above average from the “risk-taking” that was occurring over Mothers’ Day weekend and the beautiful weather.
Because of the lower numbers, the Polynomial model is still in play, predicting 18 for tomorrow. I think by next week the model will be decomissioned.
The Logarithmic model predicts 42 for today, which could be pretty close.
